Doubling shows on the fringe of the frontiersman’s coat just to the left of the upper right arm.Die Markers: Obverse: Die gouge in the lower opening of the B in LIBERTY. Die gouge left of the Y in LIBERTY. Die gouges left of and below the last R in QUARTER. Die gouge at the inner left corner of the first T in STATES. Reverse: Short NW/SE die scratch left of the frontiersman's chin. Large die gouge below the WE in WEST. Small die gouge between the upper O and R of DOORWAY.
