2015 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-027

Description

Strong doubling shows below the right end of the upper grass strip between the great egret and the great blue heron. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Die gouge near the rim above the L in LIBERTY. Die gouge left of the bottom of the E in QUARTER. Die gouge left of the first T in STATES. Small die gouge on the knot of the queue. Obverse Stage B: Stage A gouges left of the E and above the L still present. Other Stage A die markers abraded away. Reverse Stage A: Die gouge in the field above the heron's eye. Reverse Stage B: Stage A die marker still present. Die chip on the heron's beak.
