2015 (P) Blue Ridge Parkway Quarter - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-002
Error
Description
Attributed by the Wexler Team on the 2015 Philadelphia Blue Ridge Parkway quarter from the America the Beautiful program, WDDR-002 showcases doubled die effects on a reverse design depicting a stretch of the scenic parkway road with flowering dogwood. The Blue Ridge Parkway design shows a stretch of the road with flowering dogwood in front, with the dogwood blossoms, the road's edges and the foliage providing detailed areas where hub misalignment during die preparation can leave visible spread. WDDR-002 reflects the continued productivity of variety hunters who systematically examine each new ATB release for die anomalies. The America the Beautiful quarter series, which ran from 2010 through 2021, featured national parks and sites from all fifty states and territories, generating substantial collector interest and roll-searching activity throughout its twelve-year span.
