2014 (P) Lincoln Shield Cent - P-1DEO-007T Trail Die Obverse
Error
Description
2014P-1DEO-007T has trails running straight down from LIBERTY and the date at 180°, due south. The number is TrailDies' code for a 2014 Philadelphia cent (2014P, 1) with an obverse design extension (DEO), file 007, trails (T). The reverse of the same coin is also a trail die, 2014P-1DER-005T, so both faces need checking. TrailDies rates the pair stage A, late early die state, and lists no markers for either side. Vivien Bullard found the pair. Most specialists put trails down to polishing of the die with a rotary buff, while some attribute them to the die moving against the hub.
