2013 (P) Lincoln Shield Cent - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-001

Description

2013 WDDR-001 is a doubled die reverse on the 2013 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The lower letters of OF AMERICA show strong extra thickness, as do the designer's initials LB and JFM. The incuse letters of EPU (E PLURIBUS UNUM) are distorted. Wexler notes no obverse markers. On the reverse, a few cracks and chips lie along the left part of the shield's top edge. Joseph Koelling submitted the variety. Its Coppercoins number is 2013P-1DR-001, and CONECA lists it as 2-R-VIII.
