2013 (P) Lincoln Shield Cent - Atypical Die Clash ADC-1C-2013-02-2

Description

ADC-1c-2013-02 is an atypical die clash on a 2013-P Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes. The obverse clash is moderate to strong, and the reverse carries the light clash marks usually seen. Its position is close to that of ADC-1c-2013-01 and of TDC-1c-2013-01. Going by the pictures, it cannot be told apart from TDC-01 except that this die shows no reverse trails; the only other difference from that die is a die dent above OF on the reverse. Against ADC-01, the places to look are the chin and the Y in LIBERTY, where the shield clashed higher than on 01. This die also has a weaker UNU of UNUM, a die state nearer MDS, and no die scratches on the reverse. It was found by Steve Young.
