Description
On 2012P-1DEO-013T, trails run at 140°, southeast, toward the lower right, from the first T of TRUST, the E of WE and the word IN. The 2012P in its number is date and mint, the 1 is the cent, DEO points to a design extension on the obverse, and 013 and T are the file and the trails code. Its obverse is clean at this middle die state, and the reverse it was struck with is one of TrailDies' own listed trail dies, printed as 2102P-1DER-006T, which must mean 2012P-1DER-006T. Joe Koelling found the die. Trails are usually blamed on polishing the die with a rotary tool, though some attribute them to the die moving against the hub.
