Description
Trails on 2011D-10DER-001T, a 2011 Denver Roosevelt dime reverse, rise off the tops of E PLURIBUS UNUM's letters and from the ends of the torch flames, with fainter ones from the olive branch. Their direction is 005°, almost due north. TrailDies' number reads 2011D for year and Denver mint and 10 for a dime, while DER, 001 and T mark the reverse, the file and trails. According to the entry the die can be found in Mint Sets. The coin described is early (stage A), and no markers are listed on either side. Jean Lee found it. Trails generally get traced to rotary polishing of the die face, while some attribute them to die movement against the hub.
