2009 (D) Lincoln Cent - Early Childhood - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-031

Description

2009-D EC WDDR-031 is a doubled die reverse on the 2009-D Lincoln Bicentennial cent with the Early Childhood reverse, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling is at the top of log end #5. Obverse markers: a small gouge above the D mint mark, toward its left side; a pre-die crack depression crossing the eyebrow toward the NW; and a second pre-die crack depression running NW to SE across the upper front of the forehead. Reverse markers: a crack running down the N in CENT along its lower right side, and many scratches radiating toward the rim through the letters of UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Marilyn Keeney submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
