2009 (D) Lincoln Cent - Early Childhood - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-001

Description

2009-D EC WDDR-001 is a doubled die reverse on the 2009-D Lincoln Bicentennial cent with the Early Childhood reverse, cataloged by the Wexler team. Doubling shows right of log end #5, and right of log end #7 there is an additional log end. Obverse markers: a gouge well to the north of the BE in LIBERTY, a gouge north of the second zero of the date, and a small gouge over the right side of the 9. Reverse markers: gouges right of the second A in AMERICA; a small gouge (dot) under the E in UNITED, toward its right, and another inside the center of the D; and pitting on the die left of the cabin's left side. Marilyn Keeney submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references. Wexler includes it in its "Best Of" varieties.
