2009 (D) Lincoln Cent - Early Childhood - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-025

Description

2009-D EC WDDR-025 is a doubled die reverse on the 2009-D Lincoln Bicentennial cent with the Early Childhood reverse, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling is on the upper right of log end #6. Obverse markers: a small gouge near the E in WE, by its lower right tip; a small gouge near the rim, just left of the second T in TRUST; a small gouge over the right side of the second zero; a small gouge over the mint mark on its left side; a crack down the lower part of the nose; and a crack running NE to SW across the left side of the bowtie, then curving SSE into the vest. Reverse markers: a small gouge under the C in AMERICA; a small gouge between the upper parts of the I and T in UNITED; a crack from the upper right tip of the cabin to the lower left of the R in AMERICA; and, just right of the R in RM, a strong gouge. Marilyn Keeney submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
