2009 (D) Lincoln Cent - Early Childhood - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-024

Description

2009-D EC WDDR-024 is a doubled die reverse on the 2009-D Lincoln Bicentennial cent with the Early Childhood reverse, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling is on the upper right of log end #6 and across the top of log end #5. The obverse marker is a crack that crosses the eyebrow toward the NW, enters the forehead, and then curves north, ending in the hair atop the head. Reverse markers: a small gouge in the lower right of the O in OF; a short scratch heading north from the upper right of the first A in AMERICA; a scratch rising north from the center top of the M in AMERICA; near the rim over the E in AMERICA, on its left side, a short, almost vertical gouge; and a north-to-south scratch left of the C in AMERICA.
