2009 (D) Lincoln Cent - Early Childhood - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-014

Description

2009-D EC WDDR-014 is a doubled die reverse on the 2009-D Lincoln Bicentennial cent with the Early Childhood reverse, cataloged by the Wexler team. Doubling shows at the upper right of log end #7 and the lower right of log end #9. On the obverse there is a gouge SE of the chin, a small gouge (dot) left of the top of the mint mark, and a crack heading NW through the eyebrow and into the forehead. On the reverse, a gouge sits under the E in UNITED, toward its right, and a cluster of short vertical scratches lies between the lower parts of the T and E in STATES. Marilyn Keeney submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
