2009 (D) Lincoln Cent - Early Childhood - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-012

Description

2009-D EC WDDR-012 is a doubled die reverse on the 2009-D Lincoln Bicentennial cent with the Early Childhood reverse, cataloged by the Wexler team. Log end #5 is doubled along its top. On the obverse, two parallel scratches run WSW to ENE under the L of LIBERTY; a crack runs NW through the eyebrow; and another crosses the upper front of the forehead from NW to SE. On the reverse, lines radiate toward the rim through every letter of the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, and a short SW to NE crack crosses the cabin's upper right corner and pokes a little way into the field. Marilyn Keeney submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
