2009 (D) Lincoln Cent - Early Childhood - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-011

Description

2009-D EC WDDR-011 is a doubled die reverse on the 2009-D Lincoln Bicentennial cent with the Early Childhood reverse, cataloged by the Wexler team. Doubling shows beneath the bottom of log end #9. On the obverse, a crack runs SW to NE through the hair at the upper back of the head; another heads NW through the eyebrow and into the forehead; and a third crosses the upper front of the forehead from NW to SE, with a large pre-die chip depression at its upper end. On the reverse: a short vertical scratch between the tops of the U and N in UNITED; short cracks running west from the lower left and SE from the lower right of the J in the JL initials; and a short crack running NE from the upper right of the M in the RM initials. Marilyn Keeney submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
