2009 (D) Lincoln Cent - Early Childhood - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-008

Description

2009-D EC WDDR-008 is a doubled die reverse on the 2009-D Lincoln Bicentennial cent with the Early Childhood reverse, cataloged by the Wexler team. Doubling shows at the lower left and lower right of log end #8, on both sides of and beneath log end #9, and at the lower left of log end #10. On the obverse, a short diagonal scratch lies well south of the L in LIBERTY. On the reverse: two small gouges just over the grass, north of the J of the JL initials; a small gouge (dot) just under the E in AMERICA, at its right side; and another dot right of the lower part of the second A in AMERICA. Marilyn Keeney submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references. Wexler includes it in its "Best Of" varieties.
