Description
2008-D WDDR-011 is a doubled die reverse on the 2008-D John Quincy Adams Presidential dollar, cataloged by the Wexler team. Doubling appears where the second ray, counted clockwise from the head, crosses the statue's right arm. On the obverse, a small gouge lies under the O in JOHN, and another sits over the dash that separates 1825 and 1829. On the reverse, STATES's first S has a short scratch heading NE off its top right, and a small gouge (dot) lies between the lower parts of the T and A. Andrew Miller submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
