2007 (P) Montana State Quarter - Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-002

Description

2007-P MT WDDO-002 is a doubled die obverse on the 2007-P Montana state quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling is on the earlobe's underside. Obverse markers: numerous light scratches, mostly running north-south, cross the upper queue, the upper neck and Washington's cheek; SE of the ear, a clash mark runs north-south through the hair; and more clash marks show in the hair above the ear. On the reverse, two parallel scratches head NNE from the 7 of 2007 at its upper right, and a short SW-NE scratch lies right of that 7's top. Alexander Bradley submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
