2007 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent - P-1DER-013T Trail Die Reverse

Description

An isolated trail sits on the lower part of the E in CENT on 2007P-1DER-013T, and a crossover trail at the lower left of ONE's E; both are offset at 060°, east-northeast. TrailDies' code gives the 2007 Philadelphia date (2007P), the cent (1), DER for the extended reverse, file 013 and T for trails. The reverse of the late-middle-die-state coin is well cracked: cracks from the tops of columns 1 through 4, one in the cornice over bays 3 and 4, one from the left tip of the cornice into the field, and a cracked, chipped base under column 3. Louis Schaeffer found it. Trails are generally traced to polishing of the die with a rotary buff, although some trace them to the die moving against the hub.

• Stage “C”, obverse is LMDS – none noted.
• Reverse is LMDS – die cracks are seen from the tops of columns 1, 2, 3 and 4. Die crack in the cornice over bay 3 and 4. Die crack from the tip of the left cornice into the field. Die crack with die chips in the base of column 3.
