Description
On 2007P-1DER-012T, light trails rise from PLURIBUS and UNUM, each starting at a letter's upper left corner, at 330°, north-northwest. The same reverse also shows 2007P-WHDER-001, a wavy-step listing of another kind that TrailDies describes as indents in the steps and stylobate below columns 5 to 8, 11 and 12. In the code, the 2007P date and mint come first, then 1 for a cent, DER for the reverse, 012 for the file and T for trails. Markers at the middle die state are a long diagonal scratch in front of Lincoln's bust and a scratch from the second U of UNUM to the roof. Jeremy Gardner found the die. Trails are normally put down to rotary polishing of the die, though some put them down to die movement against the hub.
Die Markers
- Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – Long, diagonal die scratch in front of Lincoln’s bust.
- Reverse is MDS – die scratch from the second U in UNUM to the roof.
