Description
2007P-1DER-006T shows light trails from the tops of the EPU letters, the last S of STATES and the ERI of AMERICA, all at 340°, north-northwest. Its number decodes as a 2007 Philadelphia (2007P) cent (1) with a reverse design extension (DER), file 006, type T for trails. The early-die-state coin has a small gouge to the right of the VDB on the obverse and nothing noted on the reverse. Joe Koelling of North Carolina found it. Polishing with a rotary tool is the explanation most often given for trails, with some instead attributing them to the die moving against the hub.
Die Markers
- Stage “A”, obverse is EDS – small die gouge to the right of the VDB.
- Reverse is EDS – none noted.
