Description
Light trails come from the tops of some of the EPU letters on 2007P-1DER-004T and run at 350°, a little west of due north. TrailDies files it as 004 among its 2007P one-cent (1) reverse design extensions (DER), with T for trails. On the late-die-state coin a gouge sits below the date and another below the tip of the Memorial's right base. Louis Schaeffer of Maryland found it. The prevailing explanation for trails is polishing of the die with a rotary buff; some suggest the die moved against the hub instead.
Die Markers
- Stage “C”, obverse is LDS – die gouge below the date.
- Reverse is LDS – die gouge below right base’s tip.
