2007 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent - P-1DER-002WS Trail Die Reverse

Description

Light step deviation shows beneath columns 5 through 8 on 2007P-1DER-002WS, stronger on the left, with the lines heading south at 180°. TrailDies' number gives the year and mint (2007P), the cent (1), a design extension on the reverse (DER), file 002 and WS for wavy steps, its name for trails that make the Memorial's stairs look wavy. The early-die-state coin has no obverse markers; the reverse has a small dot in the O of ONE and gouges below the A of STATES. Patrick Gaughan of Pennsylvania found it. Trails are usually linked to polishing with a rotary buff, though some prefer the die moving against the hub.
