Description
2007P-1DEO-014T is a dual-direction trail die. The main trails start at the bottom left of each LIBERTY letter and run at 200°, south-southwest; a second, lesser set on the letters of WE runs at 030°, north-northeast. TrailDies notes the two directions are not exact opposites. The code's pieces: 2007P, a Philadelphia date; 1, a cent; DEO, an obverse extension; 014, the file; and T, trails. Its obverse at the middle die state shows no markers; the reverse has three small dots in the stylobate under column 11 and a gouge left of the T in CENT. David Miller found the die. Polishing of the die with a rotary buff is the usual explanation for trails, with some instead pointing to die-to-hub movement.

- Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – none noted
- Reverse is MDS – three small die dots are seen in the stylobate under column 11. A die gouge is seen to the left of the T in CENT.
