Description

On 2007P-1DEO-012T the trails come from the letters of TRUST rather than LIBERTY, running at 300°, west-northwest, toward the upper left of the coin. Parsed, the code says: struck 2007 at Philadelphia (2007P), one cent (1), design extension on the obverse (DEO), file 012, trails (T). The middle-die-state coin has diagonal scratches behind Lincoln's head; nothing is noted on the reverse. TrailDies gives no strength grade for the lines. Polishing of the die with a rotary tool is the common explanation for trails, and some attribute them to movement of the die against the hub.
