Description

TrailDies describes the trails on 2007P-1DEO-011T as flat-looking lines from the letters of LIBERTY, with one more from the G of GOD. They run at 270°, due west, toward the left edge of the coin. Its code is 2007P for a 2007 Philadelphia strike, 1 for the cent, DEO for the obverse, 011 for the file and T for a trail die. The coin is late die state, with a crack in Lincoln's forehead. TrailDies lists two small gouges beside the date's final 0 as a reverse marker, though the date is on the obverse. Trails are generally blamed on the rotary buff used to polish the die, with the die moving against the hub as the alternative some propose.
