Description
Moderate trails come from LIBERTY on 2007P-1DEO-010T, off the top left corner of each letter, and both Ts of TRUST carry trails as well. All run at 330°, toward the upper left (north-northwest). TrailDies' code runs 2007P (date and mint), 1 (denomination), DEO (obverse extension), 010 (file number) and T (trail die). At the middle die state there are two cracks in Lincoln's hair; on the reverse a crack in column 1 crosses the top of bay 1 and ends in a chip in column 2, and another chip sits at the top of column 3. Louis Schaeffer found the die. Trails are put down by most to rotary polishing of the die and by some to the die moving against the hub.
Die Markers
- Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – two die cracks in the hair of Lincoln’s head.
- Reverse is MDS – a die crack in column 1 that crosses over the top of bay one and develops into a die chip in column 2. Die chip is seen in the top of column 3.
