Original Research
Description
On 2007P-1DEO-002T moderate trails run from the tops of the letters of LIBERTY at 350°, slightly west of due north. TrailDies' number breaks into 2007P, 1, DEO, 002 and T: Philadelphia 2007, cent, obverse design extension, file two, trails. The coin is early die state; a small crack on Lincoln's forehead is the only marker, with nothing seen on the reverse. Robert Tingle found this die, as he did file 001. Trails are usually explained as the result of rotary polishing of the die, though some attribute them to the die moving against the hub.
