2006 Atypical Die Clash ADC-25C-2006-01CO

Description

ADC-25c-2006-01CO This is a an unabraded die clash that is found on the Colorado quarter. The clash marks seen on the obverse come from the lines in the mountain range. When comparing the obverse to the reverse, it is obvious that the obverse was left with the more pronounced clash marks. The only clash mark that is seen on the reverse die was left by Washington’s hair just above the knot in his queue. This clash was aptly named the “extra mountain” .
