CU-25c-2006P-05R(CO) Cud
Error
Description
Fifth reverse cud for the 2006 Philadelphia Colorado State Quarter, extending the remarkable die break record for this design. Five reverse cuds from a single date, mint, and state is among the highest concentrations of rim die breaks in the entire 50 State Quarters program, pointing to structural vulnerabilities where the mountainous landscape creates abrupt relief changes near the rim. Each cud formed at a different position, collectively mapping the most failure-prone zones around the die circumference. Cataloged by Cuds on Coins with no additional cross-references. Philadelphia produced over 274 million Colorado quarters.
