Description
The 2005 Doubled Die Reverse DDR-055 is a doubled die reverse (DDR) variety, where die hubbing misalignment produced visible doubling on the reverse design. This variety was discovered on the 2005 (P) Minnesota State Quarter, part of the State Quarters 1999-2008 series. Die markers: UVC-1510 DMR-058 Stage A: EDS (unconfirmed) Stage B: Reverse is EMDS Die chip between the two sets of designer's initials – EMDS Stage C: Reverse is MDS Die crack across the front of the bust – MDS Die chips on lower ribbon Stage D: Die crack from upper Left state outline North to rim – LMDS Obverse is LMDS Stage E: LDS (unconfirmed).
