Description

2005-P MN DDR-044 is a doubled die reverse on the 2005-P Minnesota state quarter, cataloged by VarietyVista. The spread is strong, showing as a tiny teardrop-shaped piece taken from the high-relief area in the middle of the third full tree and displaced to the right, above the rock. VarietyVista also gives it as 44-R-VIII. VarietyVista's chart numbers are UVC-1499 and DMR-047. Stage A has die scratches through the 58 of 1858 (early die state), a die scratch passing over the tops of trees 2 through 4, and a die chip in the lower part of the J in the JF initials (early die state). VarietyVista has not confirmed Stage B, a middle die state, or Stage C, a late one. Reported to VarietyVista by Steven Bernatowicz.
