2005 (P) Minnesota State Quarter - Doubled Die Reverse DDR-042

Description

2005-P MN DDR-042 is a doubled die reverse on the 2005-P Minnesota state quarter, cataloged by VarietyVista. The spread is strong. On the third tree's lower right a tiny piece of an extra branch shows, and a sizeable part of the high-relief area on the rock's left side is doubled toward the north. VarietyVista also gives it as 42-R-VIII. VarietyVista's chart numbers are UVC-1496 and DMR-044. At Stage A both the reverse and the obverse are in an early die state. By Stage B the reverse has reached an early middle die state, and a die crack crosses the front of the bust, also early middle. Stage C (late die state) is unconfirmed.
