2005 (P) Minnesota State Quarter - Doubled Die Reverse DDR-040

Description

2005-P MN DDR-040 is a doubled die reverse on the 2005-P Minnesota state quarter, cataloged by VarietyVista. The spread is strong: part of the primary tree has been pushed fully away from where it starts and sits out in the field, near the right side of the third tree. VarietyVista also gives it as 40-R-VIII. VarietyVista's chart numbers are UVC-1494 and DMR-042. Stage A (early die state) is unconfirmed. At Stage B the reverse is in an early middle die state, and a die crack runs across the front of the bust, also early middle. Stage C, with the obverse in a middle die state, shows a light crack heading North from the upper left of the state outline to the rim (middle die state) and a crack through the upper part of the date. For Stage D the chart switches to UVC-1495 and DMR-043: the reverse is now in a middle die state, and the obverse die has been changed, the new one being in an early die state.
