Description

2005-P MN DDR-024 is a doubled die reverse on the 2005-P Minnesota state quarter, cataloged by VarietyVista. The strong spread lies on the rock's top, at its two uppermost relief points, in the gap separating the rock from the third tree. VarietyVista also gives it as 24-R-VIII; its chart numbers are UVC-1478 and DMR-026. On Stage A the obverse and reverse are both in an early die state (EDS). On Stage B the reverse is in an early middle die state (EMDS); a die chip placed between the two sets of designer's initials is marked EMDS, and there are die chips on the ribbon.
