2005 (D) Oregon State Quarter - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-003

Description

2005-D OR WDDR-003 is a doubled die reverse on the 2005-D Oregon state quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling is under the right end of Wizard Island. Obverse markers: gouges in TRUST between its R and U and between its U and S; two chips on the lower part of the queue's upper ribbon; chips at the base of the queue's long ribbon; a crack across the front tip of the bust's point; and several chips on the chin and lips. On the reverse, a small gouge lies south of the A in CRATER on its right side, and two small gouges sit near the tall tree's upper left side. Steven Bernatowicz submitted the variety. CONECA lists it as 3-R-VIII.
