2005 (D) Oregon Satin Finish State Quarter - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-001

Description

2005-D SF OR WDDR-001 is a doubled die reverse on the 2005-D satin finish Oregon state quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling is under the right end of Wizard Island. On the obverse, one gouge lies over the W of WE toward its right side, and another sits over the gap between the U and S of TRUST. On the reverse, gouges lie over some of the small trees near the middle of the bottom shoreline, and WNW-ESE scratches cross the area above the trees near the lower shoreline's left end. Kenneth Russell submitted the variety. CONECA lists it as 1-R-VIII.
