Description
2005-D OR DDR-004 is a doubled die reverse on the 2005-D Oregon state quarter, cataloged by VarietyVista. The doubling is a medium spread within the lower right side of the volcano. VarietyVista also gives it as 4-R-VIII, and its chart numbers are UVC-1665 and DMR-006. Stage A has the reverse and the obverse both in an early die state (EDS). VarietyVista has not confirmed Stage B (middle die state) or Stage C (late die state). Reported to VarietyVista by James Wiles. VarietyVista's comments mark it SMS and note that it turns up in Mint Sets.
