Description

The cow has a doubled left nostril.Die Markers: Obverse: Multiple die gouges below the designer's initials JF. Die gouge below the RT in LIBERTY. Multiple die gouges between and above the UA in QUARTER. Die gouge below the G in GOD. Die gouge above the left side of the U in TRUST. Die gouge right of the T in UNITED. Reverse: Strong NW/SE feeder finger scrapes between the cow's mouth and the cheese wheel. Large die gouge right of the bottom of the first I in WISCONSIN. Large die gouge far left of the 1 in 1848.
