2004 (P) Wisconsin State Quarter - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-003

Description

2004-P WI WDDR-003 is a doubled die reverse on the 2004-P Wisconsin state quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling is on the cow's left nostril. Obverse markers: a small round gouge (dot) between the base of the D in GOD and the base of the W in WE; a small gouge right of the W of WE near its top; and a strong gouge SW of the mint mark. Reverse markers: a gouge inside the W of WISCONSIN at its upper right; two gouges under the first E of E PLURIBUS UNUM; a small gouge over the N of UNUM, left side; and a large die break at the banner's left end. Steven Bernatowicz submitted the variety. CONECA lists it as 2-R-VIII.
