2003 Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-003

Description

Extra thickness shows on the letters of LIBERTY. It is most pronounced on the verticals of the T and Y. Die Markers: Obverse: A small die gouge can be found between the upper R and T in LIBERTY. A small die gouge can be found to the left of the I of IN. Reverse: The reverse is also a doubled die listed in the Wexler Doubled Die files as 2003 1¢ WDDR-045. Doubling shows on the lower left side of the 7th column to the right of the statue’s legs. A die gouge can be found between the last column and the 2nd A in AMERICA. A die gouge can be found north of the F in FG.
