Description
Doubling shows on the underside of Washington’s earlobe. Die Markers: Obverse: A short die gouge extends south from the lower right underside of the diagonal of the N in UNITED. A small die gouge can be found below and between the bottoms of the E and R of LIBERTY. Reverse: A die crack runs from the top of the 1 in 1787 to the bottom of the A in DELAWARE. A die scratch runs from the top of the 1st E in DELAWARE to the rim. Die gouges can be found below the A of STATE. A die crack runs from the L of PLURIBUS to the rim.
