1999 Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-001

Description

Doubling shows on the underside of Washington’s earlobe. Die Markers: Obverse: A die gouge can be found under the lower horizontal crossbar of the F in OF. A small die gouge (dot) can be found to the right of the bottom of the E in AMERICA. Die scratches extend northeast from the top of the G in GOD. Reverse: A die gouge protrudes from the underside of the left diagonal of the M in UNUM. A small die gouge (dot) can be found between the bottoms of the last two 9’s in the date.
