1999 (P) Delaware State Quarter - Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-001

Description

1999-P DE WDDO-001 is a doubled die obverse on the 1999-P Delaware state quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling is on the underside of Washington's earlobe. Obverse markers: under the F in OF, beneath its lower crossbar, a gouge; a small round gouge (dot) right of the E of AMERICA, near its base; and scratches running northeast from the top of the G of GOD. On the reverse, a gouge sticks out from beneath the M in UNUM, under its left diagonal, and a dot sits between the bases of the date's final two 9's. Kenneth Russell submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
