1997 (D) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-008

Description

1997-D WDDR-008 is a doubled die reverse on the 1997-D Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. On the seventh column, right of the statue, a bar reaches from the hand's top to the lower leg. On the obverse, a die chip lies well south of the R in LIBERTY, about two-thirds of the way to the rim, and another chip sits under the S in TRUST. On the reverse, a die chip lies well beneath UNITED, between its N and I, one sits in the middle of the first U of PLURIBUS, and one is between the bottoms of the I and C in AMERICA. Daniel Griffin submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
