1993 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent - P-1DER-061T Trail Die Reverse

Description

The trails on 1993P-1DER-061T leave the lower left corners of letters: the E and PL of E PLURIBUS, the opening ST of STATES, and ITED in UNITED. They run at 240°, west-southwest, down and to the left. Its code places the Philadelphia year (1993P) and the cent (1) ahead of DER, the reverse design extension, then file 061 and T for the plain trail type. The obverse of the middle-die-state coin has light vertical scratches through LIBERTY; nothing was noted on the reverse. Jon Walker found the die. Trails are generally attributed to a rotary buff polishing the die, although some argue the die moved against the hub instead.
