1993P-1DER-058T Trail Die Reverse

Description

A single trail line is seen coming from the T of CENT. This die has been heavily abraded to remove a die clash. The one thing that is interesting about this die is the difference seen between the trail line and the die abrasion lines. The offset direction is 070 degrees.

Die Markers

• Stage “C” – obverse is LDS – small die gouge below the two nine digits of the date.
• Reverse is LDS – heavy die abrasion to remove a die clash from the reverse die. Both dies appear to be of a similar die state, which would lead one to believe that the die clash happened early on in both dies. It is obvious that the obverse die was replaced, while the reverse die was still used in service.
