Description
The 1993P-1DER-058T Trail Die Reverse is a trail die reverse variety of the United States cent. This variety was discovered on the 1993 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent, part of the Lincoln Memorial Cents 1959-2008 series. Die markers: Stage “C” – obverse is LDS – small die gouge below the two nine digits of the date. Reverse is LDS – heavy die abrasion to remove a die clash from the reverse die. Both dies appear to be of a similar die state, which would lead one to believe that the die clash happened early on in both dies. It is obvious that the obverse die was replaced, while the reverse die was still used in service.
