1993 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent - P-1DER-040WS Trail Die Reverse

Description

On 1993P-1DER-040WS the stronger effect is on the left: moderate fluting lines extend into the stylobate beneath columns 2 and 3, while the stairs under columns 5 through 8 bend only lightly. The direction is 200°, south-southwest, down and a little left. TrailDies' number gives the year and mint (1993P), the cent (1), a design extension on the reverse (DER), the file (040) and the type (WS, wavy steps, trails that make the Memorial's stairs look warped). The middle-die-state coin has no obverse markers; its reverse has damage to the die in bays 3, 4, 6 and 7. Rotary polishing of the die is the explanation most often given for trails; a smaller camp ties them to the die moving on the hub.
