Description
The trails on 1992P-1DER-004T run at 100°, just south of due east, toward the right edge. Affected are the MERICA of AMERICA, the roof's and cornice's right corners, the FG initials, the word CENT and ONE's N and E. TrailDies' code gives a 1992 Philadelphia cent (1992P, 1), the reverse-extension code DER, file 004, and T for trails. The coin dates from the middle of the die's life; on the obverse, two small gouges sit either side of the R's left leg in LIBERTY. Jeremy Gardner found the die. Rotary polishing of the die is the usual explanation for trails, with the die moving against the hub as the minority view.
