The WS suffix denotes a wavy steps variety — one where the stepped base (stylobate) of the Memorial shows both fluting line extension and step deviation caused by displaced design material from a secondary hub impression. This die was documented at Stage C in a Late Die State (LDS), with no notable obverse markers recorded; on the reverse, a die gouge appears above the R in AMERICA, and two small groups of die dots sit to the right of column twelve.
