Description
The trails on 1991P-1DER-007T lean up and to the right at 030°, north-northeast. They rise off the top of each letter in the Latin motto, and further lines leave the upper right corners of the Memorial and the E and R of AMERICA. In the code, 1991P is when and where it was struck, the 1 marks a cent, DER flags a reverse design extension, 007 is the file and T means trails. TrailDies' coin is late in the die's life, with a small gouge below the U of TRUST and more small gouges under Lincoln's chin and around the date; the reverse shows no markers. Aisha Shahid found it. Trails like these are generally put down to a rotary buff polishing the die; a minority blames the die moving against the hub.
